No less so than the allied bombing of Dresden.
No doubt it was horrendous to be on the receiving end of such bombing but it was no less than "we" dished out too.
It can be too easy to view war history from a biased stand point and believe "we" always acted in a noble manner and only the enemy behaved in an aggressive offensive manner. er... no!
