Does the Air Force have medevac helicopter pilots and the such?
I would really love to be in the Air Force and fly helicopters for them, but I would rather save lives than take them away. So does the Air Force have rescue or Medevac Helicopter Pilot openings? If so, what are the requirements? (Especially eyesight). Thanks, guys.
Multimission - SpecOps helicopter training at the SOW-T (Kirtland) encompasses that.. The 58 SOW operates the MC-130 Combat Talon I/II and Combat Shadow, HC-130 Hercules, MH-53 Pave Low IV, HH-60G Pave Hawk and CV-22 Osprey aircraft. It also trained crews in special operations aircraft, including helicopters and modified C-130 Hercules aircraft. It performed pararescue training and search and rescue missions as well. Additionally, the wing trained for missile site support and airlift for distinguished visitors.
NOT so coincidentally, the ParaRescue (PJ) school is located at Kirtland AFB as well.
If you think that you would not have to be involved in the full spectrum of SpecOps, SURPRISE!
SpecOps Helos carry door gunners and sometimes on the Aft ramp because AS WE LEARNED in Vietnam, the enemy will attempt to take out a Rescue Helo just as they would anything else with a US roundel upon it.
ANG requirements: Pass an Air Force Flying Class I Physical (eyesight requirements - Uncorrected distance vision of 20/70 but correctable to 20/20 and Near vision of 20/20 uncorrected)
Alumni of 58th SOW (88 - 92).
Sorry, Josh, I loaded those nasty little guns on Rescue Helos after a career of loading weapons on fighter and attack aircraft!

The "G. Leon Breitling" firm was founded in Saint-Imia, Switzerland in 1884 by Leon Breitling. He opened a workshop specializing in making chronographs and precision counters for scientific and industrial purposes. Since the first Breitling Replica Watch was manufactured over a hundred years ago, the legacy and tradition of quality timepieces has continued on.
In 1915 Breitling developed their first wristwatch chronograph and went on to make several significant developments in this area. In 1923 they were the first watch manufacturer to introduce an independent push piece for the chronograph, enabling the start and return-to-zero function (previously performed by the winding-crown). Then in1934 Breitling added a second push piece to the chronograph enabling either cumulative or incremental time recording. These developments made the Breitling watch a favorite amongst pilots.
In 1936 Breitling was chosen to supply the Royal Air Force with time keeping equipment. In the 40's Breitling became the US Air Force official pilots watch whilst also supplying the American armed forces. By the 50's Breitling had cemented their position in the aviation industry and was supplying cockpit clocks for most of the international airlines.
Over the years, Breitling launched a number of classic watches. 1942 saw the launch of the Chronomat, the first chronograph to be fitted with a circular slide rule. In 1952, the Replica Breitling Navitimer Watch was launched, a wrist watch equipped with a so called "navigation computer" that allowed pilots to calculate flight plans. This watch became an instant favorite amongst pilots. In 1962, the Cosmonaut was released providing a 24 hour chronograph. This watch was worn by Scott Carpenter when he flew America's second ever manned orbital flight in the Aurora 7. In 1969, Breitling was part of a consortium of watch manufacturers that developed the first automatic chronograph, a major break through at the time.
1979 saw the end of an era for Breitling, with the death of Will Breitling. The company was subsequently bought by Ernest Schneider launching a new era for Breitling. Schneider introduced watch lines for other professions such as yachting and diving, whilst continuing to focus on building high quality, high precision watches for the aviation industry. A number of now classic watches were introduced under Schneider's leadership such as the new Chronomat (1984), the Aerospace (1985), the Emergency (1995) and the B-1 (1998).
Today, Breitling continues its involvement in aviation and all the adventures that it entails. The "Breitling World Cup of Aerobatics" was introduced in 1993 and is recognized by the Federation Aeronatique International as having the same status as a world championship. Breitling also had enormous success with the Breitling Orbiter 3, the first balloon to fly around the world. In the year 2000, Breitling inaugurated its new headquarters in Grenchen.
